Harvill Secker Young Translators’ Prize – An annual prize, with different language focus every year, open to anyone with no restrictin on country of residence. A small piece is selected and translated by the contestants. Information on the 2013 language pair to be announced soon.

The John Dryden Translation Competition awards a prize for the best unpublished literary translations from any language into English.

Apply for a residency
The RECIT is a network of European translation centres offering residencies for translators. Usually you have to translate from or to the language of the country you wish to visit, although different centres have their own rules for applying.
Take an Erasmus semester (or more) – working!
Erasmus for Young Enterpreneurs is a European cross border exchange program which gives new or aspiring entrepreneurs the chance to learn from experienced entrepreneurs running small businesses in other European Union countries.
